Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a service offered by WPLS that extends the boundaries of our collection. ILL, as it is called, is a way for you to borrow books that Western Plains does not currently have in stock.

How is this possible?

WPLS staff will be happy to request a title on your behalf from another library, and the lending library will send it directly to your home branch for you to pick up and enjoy.

If you have any questions about the ILL process and its guidelines, ask your local WPLS staff or click here for the WPLS Interlibrary Loan Policy.

Just a note: in light of the fact that we too like to keep our new books on the shelves for our customers to have first access to, Western Plains will not request books released in the last 6 months.

WPLS staff would be happy to do the searching for you. Click the link below and enter as much information as you can regarding your desired book.
