Micaela Marquez joined the Western Plains Library System team in November of 2014 as the Marketing Representative. Micaela graduated from SWOSU in 2010 with a B.A. in Communication Arts with a Mass Communication emphasis. Prior to Western Plains, Micaela worked at Interbank in Clinton as a Personal Banker for four years.
A lot of people assume that the library just has books, and Micaela admits that she wasn’t any different before she started working for WPLS, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that the sentiment is not true at all. The library has so much to offer not only in the building but online as well. Books, music, magazines, genealogy research, homework help, language learning and so much more are available to help our communities. There are fun, interactive and educational programs for all ages too!
As the WPLS Marketing Representative, Micaela wants to make sure that everyone in the community is aware of all the great and FREE services that the library provides! She loves that the library is a place to just get away, let your imagination loose and travel to different lands; all you have to do is open a book.
