Seiling Library Manager

Wanda Moldrup has lived in Seiling, Oklahoma since 1982. She and her husband Wilson, have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. For 25+ years she helped with machine shops and the farm; chased all of the kids’ activities; and owned and operated Creative Sportswear, which specialized in graphic designing, screen-printing, embroidery, and trophies.

In 2011, after retiring from Creative Sportswear, she became the Seiling Library Manager and immediately felt fortunate in being offered the new position; in 2012, Moldrup became a certified public librarian in 2012. Wanda is a member of the American, Public, and the Oklahoma Library Associations.

Upon beginning her time with Western Plains, Moldrup was most impressed with the System’s teamwork among the several branch libraries and the bookmobile. She feels that Western Plains Library System has so much to offer their customers in not just books, but also in the most up to date service. The Seiling Public Library offers children, teen, and adult programming in addition to being a tech friendly hangout with public computers and free WiFi.

Wanda continues to enjoy interacting, working with, and serving customers, both internally and externally. She relishes helping out with genealogy and loves to see the excitement of the customers when she helps them find that “one special book”; figures out how their devices work for them; or just shows them how to “surf the internet”. Wanda feels there is no age limit, in either direction, when it comes to education, and she knows just the place to start: the Seiling Public Library.
