Tara Jaronek originally joined the Western Plains staff as a part time employee and eventually was promoted to Acquisitions and Public Services Assistant all while still attending SWOSU. Tara then returned to her hometown of Rush Springs and taught Middle School English for three years before she and her husband decided to return to western Oklahoma. Tara became the Weatherford Public Library Branch Manager in July of 2013 and then assumed the position of Circulation/Electronic Resources Coordinator in the fall of 2016.
Tara graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a degree in English Literature and received her master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2015. She is a member of the Oklahoma Library Association, where she serves on the Endowment and Legislative Committees; the Public Library Association; and the American Library Association.
